"We are born alone, we live alone, we die alone. Only through our love and friendship can we create the illusion for the moment that we're not alone" -Orson Wells-

Lately...

SO life has been going pretty smoothly. Smoother than it used to for sure. I'm actually not having alot of 'cloudy days' lately. It's really nice. I have friends now. One in particular makes my life alot brighter. He is also one of the only people who can make me double over laughing or scare the crap out of me when he wants too. I feel really vulnerable too though. I havent opened up to someone in a really long time, and i dont want to be 'shot down in flames.'

Things are TOO happy though. I feel like at any moment everything's going to go crashing down.

Anyways, a couple of my friends found out about a little phobia of mine. I hate to be lifted off the ground. I tend to freak out a little. So, just because my reaction is funny, my friends tend to give me hugs that lift me off the ground so that my feet are like an inch of the ground, or they decided to cradle me and drop my head lower than my legs so that i feel like I'm about to fall over. They LOVED it. I'm glad someone gets a kick out of my strange quirks. =]

I even recently got reconnected to a really good old friend. Since I go to Windward and not FHS, I dont see any of my old friends anymore, or even my new ones. We decided to start the note passing system so that whenever we see each other we hand the other person a note. Why dont you just call each other? well, because 1) it's not as fun and 2) phones are unnecessary and 3) it makes me feel good when i get a note, it's like getting something in the mail, but better.

Right now, I'm outside of Portland, Oregon staying in a hotel for the VERY FIRST TIME. The ironic part is that my parents own a motel...

My family and I are heading to California over this Thanksgiving break for a church service thing my cousins are doing. It's a LOOOOOOOONNNNNGGGGG drive, and very cramped. I wish I was closer to my family members, they seem like such strangers sometimes, and i LIVE with them. But it's not like my parents ever put an effort to getting to know me. As long as i have straight A's, i dont have a boyfriend, and I dont have too much fun, they're happy. I just wish they knew me. I bet my parents dont even know my favorite color, or the name of my best friend, or even my favorite thing to do. They are THAT clueless. It's a good thing i'm too much of a goody two shoes and i dont take advantage of their cluelessness.

Anyways, HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!

I have a feeling I am ngoing to update alot more often.

The rest of the day, however, was great. Classes were only a half hour long and after lunch the whole school went to different places for community service. I went to Whatcom Day Academy and worked with preschoolers. They were adorable. We spent about a half hour outside freezing our noses off playing tag, hide and seek, monkey in the middle, and criss cross karate sauce. One of the kids, Bryce, told me about his secret airplane in his backyard and his twin brother had a secret rocket ship. Both of them told me about how they were working on digging them up out of the ground. Julian, Bryce's twin, told me about the planet he used to live on for 20 years called Epitados or something. They're both five years old.

Overall today was a good day. Hopefully tomorrow won't be worse.

Random MLIA

Today, my class was reenacting Romeo and Juliet in drama class. I was Juliet. When it came to the scene where Juliet says, “What satisfaction canst thou have tonight?” My drama teacher screamed at the top of his lungs, “That’s what she said!” I have a new found respect for him. MLIA

Opening Up

Oh my, it has been a while since I have updated.

Well lately, I have become really close to someone. He's my best friend now. Hell, I've known him since like 4th grade? and we have just NOW decided to start seriously start talking to eachother, but believe me it's totally worth it. I havent had a good friend in such a long time. I havent let anyone get close to me, I tend to push people away.

But somehow he totally broke through all of my barriers. I feel so open with him. I dont feel the need to hide behind my mask or keep the doors to my thoughts closed. It like someon finally found the keys to my mind. AND they decided to open the doors instead of leaving them closed. It's a weird feeling knowing that someone knows nearly everything about you.

It's just strange that now I dont have to go through everything alone anymore. I have someone to actually lean on now. It's such a good feeling! I know i"m rambling, but it's a nice to change to the days I usually have.

Things seem to be so much brighter and colorful now that I have someone who will actually listen to what I have to say. Near him I'm an open book, and he doesn't mind taking the time to stop and read what's there.

He doesnt judge me or act fake around me like so many people have. He is REAL. Our friendship isnt one way like every other friendships have been lately.

It's nice.
